Manteca HPO's mission is to stop the cycle of suffering for community cats through Trap Neuter Return (TNR).  Our very small group of dedicated volunteers felt a calling to get involved and take action when they saw cats in their neighborhoods and community spaces were suffering.  We trap, neuter/spay, eartip, then return these community cats to their outside spaces where they are monitored and managed by their volunteer caregivers.  All cats are scanned for a microchip before surgery, and in a few cases, lucky lost pets have been reunited with their owners. 

When possible, friendly strays (who have been abandoned or dumped by their previous owners) and socialized kittens will be placed for adoption during our two weeks each month in Manteca Petsmart.  The cats and kittens that we place in Manteca Petsmart have all been spayed/neutered and vaccinated and are ready for their furever homes.  

We do not receive funds or assistance from the city for the work that we do.  We are always in need of donations to support the work that we do every day.  If you have seen the suffering of community cats and also feel a calling to put your compassion into action, please reach out to us.  We have seen neighbors come together to do amazing things with TNR and the success stories are truly awe inspiring.  We would love to help you get started.  

Maverick is only a few years old and was adopted in November of last year.  However, his owner sadly passed away and sweet dapper gentleman Maverick is back in Petsmart looking for his furever home.  

Coco was found and trapped by a compassionate HPO volunteer who then nursed this precious little baby back to health.
